Facilities
The foundations of the shelter are pure concrete while the façade and lateral walls are adobe which has twofold advantages, coolness during days and warmth during the colder wee hours of the morning. All ceilings are crossed by massive eucalyptus beams providing a rustic sensation of the environment. The architectural lines of the buildings are typical Andean.
Nestled by an unexpected courtesy and comfort within an enchanting blend of nature and design each of the seven rooms have been decorated with eclectic Andean colors. All rooms offer a beautiful view of the bucolic gardens and scenery of green meadows and white glaciers with high peaks of the Cordillera. The floor boards of the bedrooms are dark and shiny rich wood from the jungles of Peru.The bathroom flooring is heated during the nightsto provide guests with higher comfort during cold andean nights.
The bed linen is made of the finest Peruvian Pima cotton especially rich in texture and its weight is heavier than the standard. All pillows and duvets are imported from Scandinavia. Mattresses are state of the art in order to ensure a very pleasant rest. Not to be able to properly sleep at Cuesta serena is an unacceptable idea.
